Getting Ready For Bed
Judge 1:Birds are the toughest of all subjects and you captured this one. However, background is your enemy at times and in a shot like this it should contrast the subject a bit more. I like the angle and the sharpness. Good composition otherwise. Judge 2:Using the square format is a good compositional choice. It allows the lines of the beak to create the perception of a corner to corner diagonal, then breaks the pattern with the wing. It is so sharp that it entices me to study the details of the feathers. Burning the corners (top-right and bottom-left) are a creative way to cause us to focus on the eye and the region around it. The color seems a bit odd to me but it is over-powered by the sharpness & composition. Judge 3:Outstanding bird rendering. Light and background really make normally boring brown bird.
